Chart your Course, Determine your Destination

11/30/2011

Comments

It has been widely accepted that with every endeavour you take in life, its up to you to chart the course to your destination through the decisions that you make.   Decisions are like muscles, the more we make the stronger we get.      These decisions are the mechanics of our goals, to reach the emotion of achieving our dreams.    We have all dreamed as children, but sometimes as adults we lose that ability and tend to accept the ordinary rather than something extrodinary.    We are a product of our past, but we don't need to be a prisioner to it.
Why do we need a Dream?  For many people, a dream gives them hope.  When we have a dream, we are “hoping” for something.   This hope then becomes fuel for desire, and desire drives us.    However, does desire drive us to achieve our dreams?   No.   In truth, desire eventually brings about discipline that causes us to make the necessary adjustments in our life to fulfill the dream.

What are some of your dreams?   Have you had an unrealized dream for a long time?   Remember, the amount of discipline that you are willing to apply to your life, not desire, determines your destiny.

A dream gives us a DESTINATION, or someplace to go.   A process or journey is required to reach the dream – our “destination”.   Its during this journey that we are given the opportunity to grow.    When we have unrealized dreams, its not because we have failed.  It’s not because the world is against us, even though it seems that way at times.

It may be simply because we did not learn how to discipline ourselves or accept the need to grow.    No one likes the word “change”.   How many times have we heard someone say, “Don’t try to change me?”  This comes from a natural desire to not be controlled.   However, when we refuse to face some needed change in our lives, we are allowing ourselves to be controlled by our environment.   One reason this happens is because our main focus is on the dream, without the understanding that we might need to focus on changing a few things or habits, that are preventing us from achieving our dreams.

Many people try something several times only to be continually disappointed by the outcome.   This disappointment can actually cause them to give up on realizing their dream, thinking it is unobtainable.    When we realize our dream is a destination and we see the journey as an opportunity to grow, we are able to accept the necessary change that must take place in order for us to reach our destination.

We must be willing to WORK, and most people are.   However, many people become frustrated because they don’t feel their work is accomplishing anything.   People have a natural desire to connect with a purpose of some type.   How do we work?   We work either hard or smart.    How often have you heard someone say, “I work smart, not hard?”   We should work smart AND hard, but working smart is really just figuring out how to work effectively.

Why Kids Need Acai

Children Face Growing Health Threats

As a parent of two awesome kids, I want to ensure that they are getting some quality nutrition in their bodies to grow up strong and healthy.    Our family drinks Monavie juices every day, giving us the purest fruits mother nature intended us to consume.     Monavie products have the highest quality of Acai on the market, and complimented with 18 other whole fruits in each bottle.    Check out my product page if you want to try some.    My kids love the Mmun, and if I let my son he would drink a whole bottle in one sitting.      These juices are low glycemic and patent protected, to ensure the highest quality on the market more than 10 times the strength than anything else on the market.

Its true - todays world is teeming with threats to our health, which places our children especially at risk.   Statistics show that most children in todays society, along with their parents, face an uphill battle in achieving overall health and wellness.   Children are bombarded with the marketing of unhealthy food choices such as processed foods that are high in sugar and fat.   Many school districts have eliminated physical education programs and have shortened recess periods, limiting opportunities for children to play and exercise.

Its no secret that our children's overall dietary habits are poor ( see statistics in "What our Children are and Aren't Eating")     Looking at those statistics, one must wonder, how will our children be affected later in life?    We know that being overweight or obese, conditions influenced by poor diet and inactivity are significantly associated with an increased risk of diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, asthma, joint problems and poor overall health.    A CDC study estimated that one in 3 american children born in 2000 will develop diabetes in their lifetime.

Early indicators of atherosclerosis, the most common cause of heart disease, now begin as early as childhood and adolescence.   Atherosclerosis is related to high blood cholesterol levels, which are associated with poor dietary habits.

Of course, poor eating habits not only impair children's growth and development, they serve as a foundation for poor eating habits when those children become adults.

Fortunately, a new fruit to the market called the Acai berry (pronouced ah-sigh-EE) can help parents improve their childrens overall nutrition.   Acai is an attractive delicious and nutrient dense fruit that can complete in todays food marketplace.   The small, purple berry, which grows in the Amazon region of Brazil, has been gaining the attention of researchers and consumers worldwide due to its health - promoting properties.

For decades we've heard the adage "An apple a day keeps the doctor away."   While there is certainly truth to this, the good news is that we now have fruits such as acai that are more nutrient-dense and provide a wider array of nutrients than do the old standbys - apples, oranges and bananas, which represent the fruit choices most commonly consumed by Americans.

Monavie products provide the purest form of Acai products on the market, with at least 10 times the potency of other by products.    Balance. Variety. Moderation. Each of the MonaVie health minded products feature an exclusive blend of the Brazilian açai berry—one of nature's top superfoods—and 18 other body-beneficial fruits, including cupuaçu, camu camu, aronia, acerola, blueberry, bilberry, and pomegranate.
With a blend of 19 fruits, including açai, MonaVie health juice blends are bursting with the nutrition you need to feel and perform your best every day. The açai berry is the foundation of all the MonaVie health juice blends, but with literally thousands of phytonutrients and antioxidants found in nature's fresh fruits, we didn't want to focus on just one at the expense of others. This led to our selection of 18 additional fruits, each selected for its unique, beneficial properties and ability to contribute a variety of phytonutrients and antioxidants to the MonaVie premier nutritional beverages. Together, the synergistic effect of the fruits reaches far beyond what any single fruit could accomplish.

Giving you children the nutrient variety in these unique blends is the best form of prevention.    Acai is called a superfruit for a reason, research has shown that Acai is not only low in fat, sodium it also provides:

  • Amino acids
  • Anthocyanins
  • Dietary fibre
  • Essential fatty acids
  • Minerals (calcium, chromium, potassium, iron, phosphorous, magnesium, copper and zinc)
  • Phytosterols - plant sterols
  • Polyphenolic flavonoids - anti inflammatory, and immunostimulatory properties
  • Essential vitamins - A, B1, B2, B3, C and Vitamin E

Creative ways to offer Acai juice to children.

There are many ways to incorporate acai juice into your childs diet with the Monavie Products
  • Make frozen juice bars
  • Mix into smoothies
  • Mix into other foods, pancakes, ice cream, oatmeal
  • Drink with a straw, or a visually appealing container your child likes
  • If your children resists, don't give up - children sometimes need up to try something 11 times before liking it

Looking for a little pick me up in the morning?    I love the way I feel after taking the Monavie products, try out my own special morning cocktail.

- 1 Scoop of RVL shake Mix
- 3 cubes of Ice
- A Banana
- A scoop of Peanut Butter
- 1/2 a cup of raw Spinach
- a shot or two of Mmun, Active, and Pulse
- 1/2 a cup of Water

Blend with a magic bullet or just hit puree on the blender.    If its too thick just add a bit more water and chug it down.     Instead of my morning coffee I also crack open a can of EMV and I am good to go.     Drink lots of water throughout the day and use a reusable water bottle....we have enough plastic floating around in the Ocean.

Time is Money, Money is Time

11/9/2011

How many times have you heard someone say its sounds great but I just don’t have the time or I don’t have the money to start something like this?   Time is the most valuable commodity in the world, as we are all running low on it everyday, so it comes down to what we do with our time that matters.    What is your time worth?

I have said before relationship marketing is about building your network into an asset.   Instead of trading time for money we are trading money for time and building a lifestyle we all dream about.   If you were making a $100,000 per year working 50 hours a week, your time is worth about $40 per hour.    Gold Executives working about 8 hours a week earn $57,397 per year which works out to $140 per hour.     The best part of the Monavie opportunity is not only can you yield a better pay out on a per hour basis, it’s also residual.

I frequently ask people, do you continue to get paid if you lose your job or don’t work your traditional business?     Residual income means spending a small amount of time on something, replicating it and getting paid forever.   Ask someone if they want to make a $100 or more per hour part time?   We have a plan to do it in 3 months! People can and will find the time and money to do what they really want to do.

Typically it takes 10,000 hours to master something,  which is about 4 years for most of us….what will your time be worth in 4 years from now? Have you heard of the age old expression, that it takes money to make money?    Think about the investment into your Monavie business as an investment into your health, and into your financial freedom.      Listening to some of the recent conference calls, there is a concept called "First Mover's Advantage" by jumping onto the opportunity you are securing a spot before others, what if you got in before a person that goes Black Diamond?

We are all accustomed to spending money to work we just don’t realize it, ever notice that huge amount that comes of your gross pay each paycheque in the form of income tax.      At a $100,000 per year, the income tax is what some people make in a year!    Investing a few dollars a day in Monavie not only can get you superior nutrition, free product and exclusive discounts, it can also generate huge residual pay outs.     Black Diamonds are paid about $1000 - $1500 per hour, and it takes them 2 – 5 years to get to this level.    I recently read that more than 50% of North Americans in the next 5 years will invest in a home business.       Around 160 million people in North America will be looking for a third string of income.    With all the different companies popping up, aren’t you glad your involved in the best one!   You only need 40 people to break free and become a Diamond!   20 left 20 right!

We have a product that everyone needs, it's replenish-able and available to 2/3's of the planet.    The choice is up to you  when you want to break free by investing your time and money wisely.   I follow the ten step patterns everyday, and the activities involved as we have the end in sight and I want you there with us.    I meet people everywhere I go, grocery store, gas station, mall, work, gyms…I follow up and follow through with those that are interested.    I developed a thick skin and don’t take the “no’s” personal, I now realize it means “Not Yet”.    One in 5 people you talk to, will get involved in one form or another…its up to you to ask.    Ask the most successful people you know, as they don’t make excuses they make money.

Be persistent, consistent, and follow up as much as necessary…trust me, people are looking…its up to you to connect, convey and convince them that this is the vehicle to do it. We want you to build, cultivate, and form friendships, loyalty and trust.   Build friendships and you will build a successful business.   Be teachable, if your green your growing if you’re ripe your rotting.
