Lets just hope that Diaz fulfills his duties of being an ambassador to the UFC...as Dana White has come close to pulling Diaz from the card for not fulfilling his contractual duties.
Nick Diaz was the last welterweight champion of Strikeforce, and made his return to the Octagon earlier last year to fight Carlos Condit...which he lost by decision, and Carlos went on to fight GSP and lost.
This is an interesting fight stylistically as GSP has the wrestling advantage, and I think he's a much more dynamic striker than Diaz....Diaz is know to corner his opponents, and pepper them with solid boxing and if he can get the fight to the ground he has a world class BJJ game.
Both men are highly condition athletes, and both are Brazilian Juijitsu blackbelts...
You can check out the official press conference here in this post...
I can see GSP making an example out of Diaz and beat the snot out of him by pulling out a full MMA fight.
The other fight to pay close attention is Carlos Condit vs. Jonny Big Rig Hendricks....top contenters. Jonny should have been the next to fight GSP....however he has a big test against Carlos. Check out the story about Jonny here.
To see my predictions for the upcoming card with Silva vs. Stann....you can also check out this funny post about GSP and Diaz.
